'5 Questions With': REZZ
"When I saw Deadmau5, he blew my mind and I was completely inspired to make music after that."
Introducing REZZ - known for wearing unique goggles and her unique take on electronic music, the DJ has been building an ever-growing fanbase since she first emerged into the scene. Rezz first discovered her passion for making music when she first saw fellow Canadian producer Deadmau5 perform live, fast forward and she is signed to his label, performs at venues worldwide and has millions of streams under her belt.
Only yesterday, she unveiled her brand new visuals for ‘Taste of You‘ featuring singer and actress Dove Cameron, a catchy track which gives us 90’s Synth Pop vibes - and the Felicity Heath-directed music video is a truly cinematic offering without a doubt. With its neon-coloured yet gloomy setting, both artists find each other under a sky of purple lightning - but see for yourself what happens next!
We spoke to the DJ/producer for 5 questions on her collaboration with Dove, performing across the world and more.

EQ: You performed at so many venues in the world already, what set has been your favourite so far and why?
R: My favorite show is probably my annual shows at Red Rocks called Rezz Rocks, we did 2 nights and it’s really just amazing gathering of all my fans and the venue is really beautiful.
EQ: Your sound is really unique. When first starting out, who did you take most inspiration from?
R: In 2013 I went to HARD Day Of the Dead in LA when I was 16 and it was my first time in America and when I saw Deadmau5, he blew my mind and I was completely inspired to make music after that.
EQ: For your single ‘Taste Of You’, you collaborated with Dove Cameron - what was it like working with her and how did the collaboration come about?
R: Dove’s team actually hit me up a long time ago about doing a track but it took a while to find the right idea, so when I sent her the idea for Taste Of You she loved it and the record came together really fast actually, Dove is so talented and did an amazing job, she’s also an amazing person and I’m really thankful I got to do this with her, it’s been a lot of fun

EQ: What else can your fans expect from you this year?
R: I’m going to be dropping an album this fall and announcing my biggest tour I’ve ever done for spring 2022. The new production we’ve built is actually insane and is going to make the shows insane for my fans.
The album has a lot of great features but still lots of weird trippy Rezz music.
