Glorious 4-part harmonies, as well as Erick appearing via hologram, brings a whole new texture and tone to the original. Featuring a full band as well as guest vocalist Sophie Faith and Linden Jay of FARR on drums, the visual also forms part of the debut episode of Linden’s World - a series created by Linden Jay, spotlighting the stories behind his work with fellow artists and creatives.
MATILDA COLE - STAY AWAKE
Matilda Cole is the 18-year-old singer-songwriter writing daydreamy pop about standing on the brink of teenage dreams. Matilda wears her heart on her sleeve and her music acts as a diary tracking her first foray into adulthood, her lyrics are pensive thoughts and musings told through an indie-pop prism. The video for ‘Stay Awake’ captures sun-drenched scenes of a summer we’re all yearning for.
MILLER BLUE, AHWLEE - ME, MYSELF & I
Genre-bending polymath Miller Blue kicks off 2021 with his new single ‘Me, Myself & I’, alongside an accompanying music video. Announcing itself with an irresistible jazz trumpet, ‘Me, Myself & I’ is a reflective single that sees Miller examine his personal situation in the face of lockdown-induced social isolation. Pairing blissed-out production with the East London artist’s trademark soulful vocals, the track was co-produced by Ahwlee who has previously worked with the likes of MNDSGN.
JODIE HARSH - MY HOUSE
Producer, songwriter, DJ icon and reigning Queen supreme of international nightlife, Jodie Harsh, has shared the new visual for her latest single ‘My House’, featuring the best of the British drag scene with a grand total of 61 Queens. Getting straight to work after recently signing to Warner Records UK, Jodie began enlisting queens from all across Britain for the new video and says, “I wanted to get the whole British drag queen community together in one video as it’s never really been done before. We were all stuck at home at the peak of the second wave, so I got a lip-sync sent over from everyone! Of course, loads of the girls from the first two seasons of Drag Race UK are in there.”
KASAI - DRUNK DIARY, WEED & LIQUOR
Kasai - Dirty Hit’s newestsignee today announces her debut EP, ‘Not That Normal Pt. 1’, and shares the video for new single ‘Drunk Diary, Weed & Liquor’. Slow and woozy, the London singer’s latest intoxicating single is about the endless cycles of boys’ bullshit when they start drinking. Finding strength in her own voice when ruminating over a past love, Kasai boldly calls out inexcusable behaviour.
