TOPIC - CHAIN MY HEART, FEATURING BEBE REXHA
It’s been an eventful journey for German/Croatian DJ and producer Topic already - from going viral with ‘Breaking Me‘, featuring A7S, to collaborating with Lil Baby on highly celebrated track ‘Why Do You Lie To Me’, as well as receiving gold status in the US and platinum in the UK - there is no stopping him. Now, the producer has returned with another instant hit. Titled ‘Chain My Heart‘, his latest offering features chart-topping songstress Bebe Rexha. Its up-beat, captivating vibes make us want to be at a festival immediately!
ALISSIC - LIKE
Exciting up-and-coming, Brazilian-born singer Alissic is re-releasing her breakout track ‘Like‘ via Ministry of Sound. Originally released late last year, it has already racked up over a million streams and introduced us to her atmospheric and unique take on Avant-pop. She says: ‘Like’ is a song about embracing your deepest emotions, both the good and the bad, in order to find the source of them. This song is a reminder to myself to always question my emotions.”
IMAN LAKE - FOR THE BIRDS REMIX, FEATURING JONNOAQ
Rising star and all-round creative Iman Lake has returned with the remix for his track ‘For The Birds‘, featuring JonnoAQ. The track lyrically addresses the end of a relationship, and how Karma will always come and get the person who’s wronged you. At the same time, it speaks up about the aftermath of Covid and lockdown. ‘For The Birds’ again sheds light on the artists undeniable talent and slick wordplay. Iman mentions: “Last year we all witnessed first-hand how incompetent our so called “leaders” are. I feel like there was a lot of frustration throughout the country especially with the youth, so I really wanted to capture and channel all that frustration and energy!”
TARA LILY - THE THINGS YOU DO
Peckham-born Tara Lily has already built up a buzz around herself ever since her Jammer-produced debut single ‘Who Saw Who‘. Now, she returns with a gorgeous new single ‘The Things You Do‘ which brilliantly showcases her impeccable vocal and lyrical skills. “It’s very raw and very real; the lyrical content of most of my songs are deep, I talk about things that a lot of people don’t want to talk about, and that’s why it feels like dark R&B jazz; the dark comes from those difficult but important feelings that are expressed.”
WET - ON YOUR SIDE
Fronted by Kelly Zutrau, US trio Wet return with dreamy new bop ‘On Your Side‘. Produced by Buddy Ross, the track highlights the band’s sonic evolution throughout the past years. When speaking about it, Kelly mentions:“On Your Side is about the feeling of embodying unconditional love as a special and fleeting experience. Even though it sounds contradictory, unconditional and fleeting, it’s about that duality. I often find myself in more ambivalent places in relationships and then when it happens it’s epic like planets and trees and rivers and then like that it’s gone again.”
