JIMOTHY LACOSTE - DESCRIBE MY LIFE
Many know rising artist Jimothy Lacoste for living by his mantra of LIGQE (Life Is Getting Quite Exciting). The rapper has now returned with brand new single ‘Describe My Life’, which is only a taste of what we can expect to hear in his upcoming EP ‘Jimothy’s House Party Package 1’, out tomorrow. Previously being hailed as DIY King of Rap, Jimothy is now experimenting with Garage and House Pop.
KAT VON D - EXORCISM
With her debut single ‘Exorcism’, newcomer Kat Von D is now kicking off a brand new journey in her life. Being a multi-hyphenate, the singer has been making music for a long time already, whether that was playing the piano to a professional level or partaking in vocal training. Kat states: “I wrote ‘Exorcism’ after having binged on every exorcist movie that ever existed, I loved the idea of tying the act of being possessed by something outside your control to what love can sometimes feel like; losing yourself in someone else, and sometimes it leaving you black and blue.” The single is the first release off her upcoming album ‘Love Made Me Do It’.
PEYTON - LET IT FLOW, FT. BRICE BLANCO
Houston-based R&B singer-songwriter Peyton is returning with fresh single ‘Let It Flow’, the first single off her upcoming album ‘PSA’. “Following your own path can be scary, especially when there are many valid thoughts of doubt. ‘Let It Flow’ is an anthem and a mantra that encourages going with the flow and trusting your intuition.”, she says about the new release. Peyton’s stunningly smooth and mellow vocals are complimented by Brice Blanco‘s effortless rap flow - a truly dazzling combination.
LAUREN FAITH - HOLD YOU CLOSE
British producer, songwriter and singer Lauren Faith has recently dropped her new, highly anticipated single ‘Hold You Close’ - a fun, up-beat funk-inspired track which arrived perfectly in time for the upcoming summer season. ‘Hold You Close’, alongside with her previous successful singles and recent EP ‘Cosmic’, further proves that Lauren is securely establishing herself as an unmissable artist.
KAI KWASI - UNT
With his gorgeous debut release ‘unt’, South London’s new gem Kai Kwasi is emerging into the music scene. He says “I recorded ‘unt’ in my room on a broken audio interface with one of those podcaster mic stands. In short, the song is about not being sure if you’re doing things right. The video draws parallels between moving and relationships. You move in, fill the space, paint the walls and move out. I made the vídeo with a friend from college (Clay Milner Russell). The idea was to keep it fun, and that’s pretty much what we did. They were knocking down the flats we used so it was the perfect excuse to take liberty and do things we wouldn’t be allowed to do elsewhere.” With his unique blend of Indie, Jazz, RnB, LoFi and Bedroom Pop, Kai Kwasi certainly is one to watch.
