EQUATE Premiere: Sam Wills releases 'Traingazing' ft. Honey Mooncie

Singer releases stripped down version to new single 'Traingazing', exclusively on EQUATE

Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sam Wills reveals an exclusive, strip backed session of his current single ‘Traingazing’, featuring up and coming jazz singer Honey Mooncie. The clip, filmed in Hastings, finds the two artists at a grand piano, delivering a beautifully restrained and subtle performance that provides a welcome respite from these unprecedented times. Sam had this to say about the song when we caught up with him;

“The starting point for Traingazing came to me on the Central line on the way to the studio. I had to try and sing the verse melody and chords into my voice memos on my phone so I didn’t forget it, without drawing too much attention to myself! Some of the background noise from the recording actually made it into the song. Once I started to record it properly with Phairo, I knew that Honey Mooncie would sound amazing on it and luckily she was up for being involved.

I think we’ve all had moments of looking at people across the carriage, and wondering where they’re going, what their life is like, and generally imagining who they are as a person and knowing once they step off the train, you’ll never see them again.”
