22-year-old contemporary songstress syd B makes a bold return to your sound waves with her new track ‘Lights On‘. Following the release of her debut EP ‘Water Me’ last year, Syd has been busy perfecting her craft stateside whilst navigating the world of music, relationships, friendships and adulthood as a young woman.

Syd speaks on ‘Lights On’: “I wrote this with Alexandra Veltri, and the track was produced by Aaron Berton and Matt Crawford, literally within a couple of hours! My vocals on the track are demo vocals, I wanted to keep them as they are while the thoughts were still fresh.”

After writing ‘Lights On’, Syd realised there is no destination to adulthood. It is a song about how the road to happiness is not looking out to another person and asking them to tell you who you are, but for you to do it for you yourself.
