EQ: Hi BOJ, you’re a founding father of the Alté scene – what can you tell us about the Alté music and arts scene?
B: The Alté scene is basically about freedom to express yourself, extreme freedom really, being comfortable to be who you are at all times and not following the norms.
EQ: Being raised in Nigeria, you’ve been exposed to a huge musical heritage – who are your favourite Nigerian artists at the moment?
B: I’m liking Moliy and Mel from Ghana and I’m feeling Lojay and Zinoleesky.

times and not following the norms.”
EQ: Your brand new single Money &hter is featuring Amaarae and Zamir – how did the collaboration come about and what was it like working with them?
B: Zamir is someone I’ve known from time and worked a lot with me on Awolowo and I just knew that when I got the perfect song he would be on it because I knew that he would kill it. For Amaarae, the fans have been wanting a song with her so bad so I just had to give it to them.
EQ: Who would your dream collaboration be with and why?
B: It would always be Asa honestly, she’s someone I look up to. I resonated with her music so much growing up and collaborating with her would make me happy.
EQ: What else are you working on right now, anything you can already share with us? 😉
B: I’m working on a lot of stuff in the background, really trying to get into music business. I’ve got plans but I wouldn’t want to jinx anything by saying too much.
